Renee Felice Smith
Renée Felice Smith, PMHS Class of 2003, moved cross country for her role on the CBS television series NCIS: Los Angeles, which just wrapped its seventh season. Smith plays intelligence analyst Nell Jones, a whip-smart techie who is an integral part of the team saving the day.
Smith made her Off-Broadway debut in Second Stage’s Wildflower. Additionally, she was a member of the Sundance Institute’s Theatre Lab on Governor’s Island in New York City and performed under the direction of Liz Diamond of the Yale School of Drama.
Smith recently executive-produced and starred in Baby, a short film which premiered at South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas. Additionally, Smith wrote and directed a public service announcement for the North Shore Animal League’s Mutt-i-grees® Curriculum, an educational program that teaches emotional and social skills through the use of shelter animals. She has also directed and appeared in a comedic rap video for FunnyOrDie.com entitled Yo, Mommy.
Smith graduated with honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she double-majored in drama and journalism, and minored in history. While at NYU, she studied commedia dell’arte in Florence, Italy; was entertainment desk anchor for the NYU News and co-founded Tisch School of the Arts’ first student-run dance troupe, Pulse Dance Project, which is still in existence today.
Smith graduated from PMHS with honors and was awarded the Frank A. Juzwiak Award as the Outstanding Senior member of the National Honor Society. While at PMHS, Smith participated in the All-School Musical (Grease, Footloose) and the Spring Drama (Romeo and Juliet, Inherit the Wind) directed by Mrs. Chester Hertling. Smith was also an active member of both the band and choir programs in addition to spring track and varsity cheerleading.
In her spare time, Smith enjoys shopping for vintage furniture, eating grilled cheese sandwiches and hanging with her three dogs, Hugo, Velma and Mabel.
