The 1929 Patchogue High School Girls’ Soccer team made history with a dominant undefeated campaign that culminated in near-perfection and the ultimate prize, the Suffolk County Championship. The opener with Smithtown set the tone for the Lady Raiders’ season—a taught scoreless first half led by Marjory Raynor’s defense, followed by a second-half strike by Lavinia Creighton for the game’s only goal. A repeat win over Smithtown, a pair of wins over Port Jefferson and a heroic 0-0 tie with Bay Shore qualified Patchogue for the county title game. To cap off their historic season, the Patchogue girls dominated Westhampton, 2-0.
